Information on the Herefordshire
Stop Smoking Service

Who are we?

The Herefordshire Stop Smoking Service is an NHS stop smoking service that helps anyone who lives, or is registered with a G.P in Herefordshire and is ready to stop smoking.

What do we do?

We offer an individual support service for any smoker who wants to stop. We give non-judgmental advice, ongoing support for as long as is needed and access to treatments such as nicotine patches or gum. We can also give you information on specific stop smoking medications that are currently available via your GP, in conjunction with support from a stop smoking advisor.

What services do we offer?

We offer a variety of support services to suit everyone; from pharmacy to GP stop smoking services; individual support for patients in hospital; and home visits for the housebound. We also offer specialist services for pregnant smokers and their families and for young people too.

Does it work?

Yes it does! It has been proven that people who use local NHS stop smoking services do much better than those who try to stop smoking on their own.
